Walnut STRAT (1981-83)

Model info: Also known as the Super STRAT, this model is essentially a STRAT with an American black walnut body and 1-piece walnut neck (some sources claim that a few specimens have ebony fingerboards). Apart from its body material, what separates the Walnut STRAT from other STRATs is its having been a Collector's Series instrument (see the Gold/Gold Stratocaster page) and its black pickguard and pickup covers.

Notes: Most are reported to be heavy. Very heavy.
