Model info: The Fender Custom Shop's second offering (the HLE was the first) of a numbered limited edition Stratocaster (and Fender's third offering of a numbered limited edition Strat). Partially based upon the Strat Plus, it featured a quilted maple top over and alder body, bird's-eye maple neck, 22-fret ebony fretboard with abalone dot inlays, 5-way selector switch with additional mini-switches for more pickup combinations, active electronics, locking tuners, and, 3 Silver Fender Lace Sensor pickups.
Notes: 500 units of this Anniversary Strat (the Stratocaster's 35th birthday) were produced between 1989 and 1991.
