2004 Summer NAMM: Fender Introduces the 50th Anniversary Golden Stratocaster

The 2004 Summer NAMM Show has arrived in Nashville and Fender has taken the opportunity to unveil its new 50th Anniversary Golden Stratocaster. Based on a 1950s Strat, it features: Aztec Gold finish; gold hardware; gold anodized pickguard; 50s-style maple neck with a soft "V" profile with 21 frets; vintage-style pickups with staggered Alnico magnet pole pieces; and, vintage-style bridge, tremolo and tuners. It comes with a deluxe 50th Anniversary vintage tweed gig bag and a US manufacturer's suggested retail price of $999.99.
