Strat Collector Welcomes Dan Yablonka

by Tom Watson

Strat Collector is pleased to welcome Dan Yablonka as a featured News Desk contributor! Below you will find his first article -- State of the Strat.

Dan is a well known vintage guitar expert and dealer from Laguna Beach, California, just south of Los Angeles in Orange County. He has nearly 30 years experience in both the vintage guitar market in general and the Fender Stratocaster market in particular. His list of regular business associates includes such names as Norman Harris, Mac Yasuda, George Gruhn, the Mandolin brothers, Steve Soest, Larry Briggs, Albert Molinaro, and many others.

Dan is also known as a collector of more obscure instruments including Weissenborn Hawaiians and very vintage Martin guitars.

Since the age of 19, he has been a signed singer-songwriter with companies such as Atlantic Music and Criterion Music, resulting in songs performed and recorded by Nicolette Larson, Yvonne Eliman, and others.

We welcome his participation on the News Desk and look forward to many informative articles from Dan about vintage Stratocasters and the vintage market. If you have a vintage Stratocaster question you think would be of interest to readers of the News Desk, send it to Dan and he'll try to answer it in future editions.

Welcome aboard!
