Hey dudes, this so called '61 Strat don't sit right with me. # 1 the top contour is nowhere near what a '61 would look like. It is way too short, not broad across the top. It reminds me of an early eighties body when they made the back contour better but the top contour was small. # 2 the pickup magnets are the over beveled custom shop type that they use on the 1960 reissue models or the '57-'62 production reissues. # 3 the shielding plate looks too small compared to the pickguard. # 4 the saddles look like the reissue ones that you can get from Germany. #5 the trem block counter bores look like the modern deep ones. Just my take on it and I may be wrong but I have seen a lot of old Strats and this one don't seem right....Bluestrat

Hey Tom, the guitar is gone now. It had a few bids on it so I guess it sold for around 10K and it may be a nice axe but I am almost certain it was not authentic......Bluestrat
